Deciding whether or not to remove a tree is normally a big decision. Our certified arborist can help guide you to decide what is best depending on number of factors such as the location, health, and species of the tree. Generally, the following conditions necessitate tree removal:
- A tree which is dead or dying
- A tree that has been damaged extensively
- A tree which overcrowds other trees
- A tree in the way of new construction
- A tree in close proximity to a building
Dead trees are often the most dangerous because they can fall at any moment. It is recommended that dead trees are removed as soon as possible.

There are many reasons for pruning a tree. Some include:
- Reduction of wind resistance. This leads to significantly less storm damage
- Removal of dead limbs to increase the safety of the tree
- Removal of storm damaged limbs

- Removal of limbs interfering with buildings, power lines, or other trees
- Removal of limbs interfering with buildings, power lines, or other trees
In addition to regular pruning, we also recommend that ivy is not encouraged to grow on trees. The ivy effectively acts as a sail in the wind and can cause damage even to otherwise healthy trees.
Stump grinding is the finishing touch for a tree removal job.
All stump grinding is performed with our remote controlled Brush Bandit stump grinder. The most cost effective method of getting a stump removed is purchasing our Tree Removal Special which includes both tree removal and stump grinding. Stump grinding done on a pre-existing stump is generally priced per inch. Please contact us for more information. Once the grinding has been completed, we slightly over fill the hole because over time the grindings settle down. We can remove all the grindings and replace them with high quality top soil for an additional fee.
